What Is Renewable Energy, and What Is the U.S. Plan?

Renewable Energy

At OceanBased Perpetual Energy, we are committed to a sustainable future that includes renewable energy sources and practical solutions to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Our innovative strategies are designed to provide usable and sustainable energy that can power homes, businesses and industry throughout the Gulf Coast and the rest of the country.

What Is Renewable Energy?

According to the experts at the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), renewable energy is generated using sources that can be restored within a reasonable amount of time or that are continually produced in the natural environment. Some of the most common renewable energy sources include the following:

  • Hydropower
  • Geothermal energy
  • Wind power
  • Solar power
  • Biomass, including ethanol and biodiesel as well as wood and biogas

At OceanBased Perpetual Energy, we are exploring the potential of the Gulf Stream current as a perpetual source of clean energy.

What Is the U.S. Plan for Renewable Energy?

According to the EIA, fossil fuels comprised about 80 percent of the energy consumed in the United States during 2019. This means that renewable energy sources produced 20 percent of the energy consumed by homes, businesses, transportation methods and industry. The U.S. Department of Energy has announced a clean energy revolution that incorporates elements of solar, water, wind, geothermal and bioenergy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels to an even greater degree in the future.

We’re Working for the Future

At OceanBased Perpetual Energy, we are developing practical and positive ways to put the kinetic energy of the Florida Gulf Stream to work in creating clean, sustainable energy for homes and businesses now and in the future. To that end, we are working with federal, state and local governments and agencies to find the most practical and positive ways to achieve commercialization of ocean current energy. Our efforts in the fields of research and design, manufacturing, installation and operation of ocean current energy initiatives are a part of the larger effort to transform energy use in the United States and around the world.

If you want to learn more about our environmentally responsible approach to harvesting the energy of the ocean currents or if you would like to be a part of the development process, give OceanBased Perpetual Energy a call today at 1 (305) 2-ENERGY. Our team will be happy to touch base with you to discuss the future of clean, green energy and how you can play a role in building that future.
