WSP USA, an engineering and professional services company, has completed the integration and rebranding of Ecology and Environment Inc. (E&E) and LT Environmental (LTE). WSP USA is now the world’s sixth-largest environmental consulting business with the capacity to deliver full capabilities in the U.S. following completion of this and other strategic acquisitions.
OceanBased is working with WSP USA in its quest to produce sustainable, carbon-free, perpetual power from the Florida Gulf Stream.
“Ocean current energy in the Gulf Stream is one of the last untapped renewable energy sources, and likely the most powerful and consistent on the planet,” said Nasser Alshemaimry, OceanBased’s chairman. “The project is extremely complex, and the expertise of WSP, with its recent acquisition of Ecology & Environment, Inc., will help us provide an environmentally-conscious and sound engineering solution to unleash Gulf Stream power.”
WSP is one of the world’s leading professional services firms, providing engineering and design services to clients in multiple industry sectors as well as offering strategic advisory services. Company experts include engineers, advisors, technicians, scientists, architects, planners, environmental specialists and surveyors, in addition to other design, program and construction management professionals. With approximately 50,000 talented people globally, WSP delivers successful and sustainable projects. In December 2019, WSP acquired Ecology & Environment, a U.S.-headquartered environmental consulting firm.
